1. Purpose of Shipping Protection
Shipping Protection is an optional commercial service feature offered by the platform to provide customers with additional service-based remedies for international shipments coordinated through the platform.
For the avoidance of doubt, Shipping Protection is not an insurance contract, financial product, or regulated insurance service. It does not indemnify the value of goods. All remedies provided under this policy are service-based resolutions only and relate exclusively to platform-facilitated services.
Shipping Protection is intended to offer enhanced resolution options in clearly defined high-risk shipping scenarios, including but not limited to:
- Shipment loss in the origin country
- Shipment loss during international transit
- Shipment loss in the destination country
- Customs seizure in the destination country
- Theft or confirmed disappearance during postal handling
Shipping Protection does not guarantee delivery, customs clearance, or acceptance by destination authorities, nor does it transfer import or customs responsibility away from the customer.
Instead, Shipping Protection provides access to predefined, limited remedies under this Shipping Protection Policy and the Return, Reship & Service Fee Policy.
2. Optional Nature of Shipping Protection
Shipping Protection is entirely optional and may be selected by the customer during checkout only where available for the destination country. The availability, price, and scope of Shipping Protection are displayed clearly prior to order submission.
Customers who choose to add Shipping Protection receive access to the limited, service-based remedies defined in this Shipping Protection Policy. For clarity, Shipping Protection does not provide indemnity for product value and does not constitute regulated financial insurance.
By completing checkout without selecting Shipping Protection, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees that:
- the shipment will be treated as a non-insured shipment under all platform policies
- no Shipping Protection remedies will apply
- the customer assumes all risks associated with international transit and customs outcomes to the maximum extent permitted by law
Checkout completion constitutes informed acceptance of these terms.
3. Availability Based on Destination Country
Shipping Protection is not available for all destination countries. Due to regulatory restrictions, operational limitations, and risk management considerations, Shipping Protection may be unavailable for certain destinations.
Where Shipping Protection is not available for a destination:
- the Shipping Protection option will not be displayed or selectable during checkout
- the shipment will automatically be treated as a non-insured shipment
- all provisions applicable to non-insured shipments under the Return, Reship & Service Fee Policy will apply in full
The unavailability of Shipping Protection does not create any obligation for the platform to provide insurance coverage, financial compensation, or delivery guarantees under any circumstances.
By placing an order to a destination where Shipping Protection is unavailable, the customer expressly acknowledges and accepts that the shipment proceeds without insurance coverage and that the customer assumes all associated transit and customs risks to the maximum extent permitted by law.
4. What Shipping Protection Covers
Where Shipping Protection is selected and available, the customer may be eligible for additional service-based remedies in the following scenarios, subject to all conditions of this Policy.
4.1 Loss During Transit
A shipment insured under Shipping Protection will be considered lost only where one of the following conditions is satisfied:
- the shipment is officially recorded as lost by the origin or destination postal authority or courier or
- tracking scans show no movement for 30 consecutive days, and the shipment has not reached the destination country within that period.
Loss may occur:
- in the origin country
- during international transit
- in the destination country
Where a shipment insured under Shipping Protection is confirmed lost, the platform will coordinate one-time free reshipment of the order.
Free reshipment under Shipping Protection is:
- provided once only and
- strictly limited to a single replacement shipment per order
If the free reshipment is also lost, seized, refused, stolen, delayed or otherwise not delivered, no further reshipment, refund, credit, compensation or service fee adjustment will be provided, as this constitutes shipping and customs risk beyond the control of the platform and its Fulfilment Partners.
Shipping Protection provides service-based resolution only and does not guarantee delivery or customs clearance.
4.2 Customs Seizure
If a shipment insured under Shipping Protection is seized, confiscated, destroyed, retained, or otherwise removed from circulation by destination country customs authorities for any reason, the customer may be eligible for one of the following service-based remedies:
- One-time free reshipment, coordinated through an independent Fulfilment Partner
- A partial platform service fee adjustment, applied strictly in accordance with the Return, Reshipment & Service Fee Adjustment Policy.
The applicable remedy will be determined based on service scope, documentation availability, and Fulfilment Partner confirmation.
Where a free reshipment is provided and that reshipment is also seized or refused by customs, no further reshipment, refund, credit, compensation, or service fee adjustment will be available, as repeated seizure constitutes a destination-specific import risk outside platform control.
Shipping Protection does not:
- guarantee customs clearance
- override destination country import regulations
- transfer import responsibility to the platform or Fulfilment Partners
- convert the platform into a seller or importer of record
Customs authorities operate independently, and all customs outcomes remain the sole responsibility of the customer as importer of record.
4.3 Theft or Confirmed Postal Loss
Where an insured shipment is confirmed by the relevant postal or courier authority as permanently lost, stolen, misdirected, or otherwise irretrievable while in their custody, the customer may be eligible for Shipping Protection remedies as defined in this policy.
Official written confirmation from the originating or destination postal authority (or responsible carrier) may be required in order to assess eligibility. Where such confirmation cannot be obtained or where the postal authority declines to issue documentation, the platform may rely on available tracking data, Fulfilment Partner confirmation, or other operational records to determine whether Shipping Protection applies.
Where Shipping Protection coverage applies, the available remedy is limited to:
- one-time free reshipment, coordinated through an independent Fulfilment Partner
- a partial platform service fee adjustment, strictly in accordance with the Return, Reshipment & Service Fee Adjustment Policy.
If a reshipment issued under Shipping Protection is also lost or stolen, no further reshipment, credit, compensation, or service fee adjustment will be available, as repeated loss indicates a destination-specific risk beyond the platform’s control.
Shipping Protection provides service-based remedies only and does not constitute cargo insurance, product compensation, or reimbursement of product purchase value.
5. What Shipping Protection Does Not Cover
Shipping Protection is limited in scope and does not apply in the following situations. In these cases, no reshipment, credit, or service fee adjustment will be issued under Shipping Protection:
- Customs duties, excise taxes, VAT, import fees or penalties, regardless of whether the customer accepts or refuses delivery.
- Refusal, confiscation or destruction by customs authorities, where based on local import regulations, product restrictions, or excise controls.
- Customer refusal to accept delivery for any reason, including refusal to pay import taxes or duties.
- Incorrect, incomplete, or misleading delivery information provided by the customer, including address details, recipient details, or delivery access issues.
- Failure by the customer to receive, sign for, collect, or arrange re-delivery of the shipment within the timeframe set by the destination postal or courier operator.
- Delays, disruption, or loss caused by force majeure or major operational events, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, strikes, epidemics, or government actions.
- Shipments to destinations where Shipping Protection was not available at checkout. In such cases, all shipments are treated as non-insured under platform policy.
Shipping Protection does not replace, reduce, or modify the customer’s role as importer of record. The customer remains fully responsible for compliance with destination country import regulations, taxes, and restrictions at all times.
Shipping Protection provides service-based remedies only and does not constitute cargo insurance, financial indemnification, or compensation for product value.
6. Relationship to Platform Role
The platform operates solely as a digital coordination and facilitation service. It does not sell, supply, distribute, export, import, manufacture, store, handle, package, or ship physical goods.
The selection of products, sourcing, storage, export, dispatch, and delivery are carried out independently by third-party Fulfilment Partners under their own legal and regulatory responsibilities.
Shipping Protection does not convert the platform into:
- a product seller or merchant
- a carrier, courier, or logistics provider
- a customs broker or importer of record
- a warehouse or fulfilment operator
- a guarantor of delivery, customs clearance, or import approval
All refunds, credits, adjustments, or reshipments made under Shipping Protection are service-based remedies only and relate exclusively to platform coordination services.
They do not represent:
- compensation for product value
- product purchase refunds
- commercial indemnity
- or insurance reimbursement
Shipping Protection does not establish a contract of insurance or financial indemnity between the platform and the customer.
7. One Time Remedy Limitation
All Shipping Protection benefits are strictly limited to a single one-time remedy per order.
Where a free reshipment or a service-based fee adjustment has been granted under Shipping Protection, this constitutes full and final resolution for that order.
Once a Shipping Protection remedy has been applied:
- no further claims
- no additional reshipments
- no further service fee adjustments
- and no compensation of any kind
will be available for the same order, regardless of the outcome of the reshipment or any subsequent shipping or customs events.
Shipping Protection does not provide ongoing, repeat, or unlimited coverage.
8. Customer Acknowledgement
By selecting Shipping Protection at checkout, the customer expressly confirms, acknowledges, and agrees that:
- hipping Protection is strictly optional and is not required to place an order
- Coverage applies only to the limited service-based remedies described in this Shipping Protection Policy
- Shipping Protection does not guarantee successful delivery, customs clearance, or acceptance by destination country authorities
- All remedies provided under Shipping Protection are service-based only and do not constitute refunds of product purchase prices
- The customer remains solely responsible for customs compliance and any customs-related decisions, actions, duties, taxes, or seizures in the destination country
- Any reshipment benefit provided under Shipping Protection is strictly limited to one-time only per order, and no further claims or remedies will apply thereafter
Customers must carefully review this Shipping Protection Policy before completing their order, as placing an order constitutes full acceptance of these terms.
9. Policy Hierarchy and Cross Reference
This Shipping Protection Policy must be read together with the following documents published on this website:
- Terms & Conditions
- Return, Reship & Service Fee Policy
These documents collectively define the platform service framework and the scope of order coordination activities carried out through the platform.
In the event of any apparent inconsistency between these documents:
- the Terms & Conditions shall prevail as the primary governing document,
- followed by the Return, Reship & Service Fee Policy,
- and finally this Shipping Protection Policy,
to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Where interpretation is required, the platform’s determination will be made strictly in accordance with the documented service scope, operational records, and confirmations provided by independent third-party fulfilment partners.
Nothing in this policy shall be construed as expanding the platform’s role beyond that of a digital coordination and facilitation service.
10. Final Provisions
The platform reserves the right to:
- limit or withdraw Shipping Protection availability for specific destinations,
- update the coverage scope, conditions or pricing, and
- refuse or decline claims where the documentation provided is incomplete, inconsistent, or does not meet the requirements set out in this policy,
provided that such changes or determinations remain consistent with the Terms & Conditions and the defined platform service role.
Any updates to this Shipping Protection Policy will take effect upon publication on this website. Customers are responsible for reviewing the current policy at the time of placing an order.
Continued use of the platform and submission of an order request constitute acknowledgement and acceptance of the terms of this Shipping Protection Policy.
